The Los Angeles Chargers fielded one of the best secondaries in the entire NFL last season.<\/p>\n

The unit was spearheaded by elite, young talent like rookie Tarheeb Still and young veteran Asante Samuel Jr.<\/p>\n

Some of these defensive backs like Samuel Jr. were set to enter free agency, but with the Chargers entering the period with over $60 million in cap space, fans expected the team to at least try to bring some of them back.<\/p>\n

However, they did the complete opposite and let cornerback Kristian Fulton walk without even negotiating and Samuel Jr. is still on the open market after three long, grueling months.<\/p>\n

Most of the Chargers\u2019 cap space has now dried up, so they must look at other alternatives to add secondary talent.<\/p>\n

Luckily for Los Angeles, the Miami Dolphins are expected to part ways with superstar cornerback Jalen Ramsey this offseason and the reporting is that he would like to play on the West Coast again.<\/p>\n

He previously played for the Los Angeles Rams, so it\u2019s unlikely that either side would entertain a reunion.<\/p>\n

Obviously, there are many other teams on the West Coast, but perhaps none would be a better fit than the Chargers.<\/p>\n

Their head coach, Jim Harbaugh, is a defensive mastermind and for the first time in his career, Ramsey would likely not matchup against the opposing team\u2019s best receiver which could elevate his play even further.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the seven-time Pro Bowler\u2019s teammate, Tyreek Hill, has been playing hardball and trying to keep Ramsey in Miami<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He has publicly stated that he will follow the former Jacksonville Jaguars draft pick around the country this summer in hopes of coaxing him back.<\/p>\n

Hill probably could not stop a trade if the front office found an offer sufficient to deal Ramsey, but forcing a change of heart could change both sides\u2019 minds about a potential trade.<\/p>\n

This situation is still ongoing, so it has yet to be seen how aggressively Los Angeles will go after Ramsey, but a hot pursuit could ramp up trade efforts.<\/p>\n
