After logging official visits to his four finalists, Egg Harbor Township (N.J.) St. Augustine Prep four-star defensive lineman Damari Simeon<\/a> is ready to announce his commitment.<\/p>\n

The 6-foot-2, 275-pounder will reveal his college decision this Friday, June 27. He set the date on Monday evening via social media and will still choose between his top four of Ohio State<\/a>, Penn State<\/a>, Michigan<\/a> and Texas<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Simeon is the No. 182 overall prospect and No. 20 DL in the 2026 cycle, according to the\u00a0On3 Industry Ranking<\/a>, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He\u2019s also the No. 3 player in New Jersey.<\/p>\n

On3 ranks him higher than other recruiting services. He checks in as the No. 65 recruit and No. 7 DL in the 2026 On300.<\/p>\n

Simeon has maintained a mostly-lowkey recruitment and has worked through his OVs this month. He saw Michigan first, then Penn State and Texas before rounding things out in Columbus at Ohio State over the weekend.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe most important factors to me and my family for deciding on a school are academics, player development, the coaches and program tradition,\u201d\u00a0Simeon told On3\u2019s Chad Simmons in December<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have to get a feel for everything in person,\u201d he added. \u201cNo matter how much research you do, seeing everything in person gives you the best feeling about the school and the program. I try to look for things that differentiate a school from the others and what the school can provide that others can\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n

Scout\u2019s Take on Damari Simeon<\/p>\n

Simeon made a major move in the On300 rankings last fall and he remains an outlier for On3\u2019s scouting and rankings team.\u00a0He previously drew hefty praise<\/a>\u00a0from National Scout Cody Bellaire:<\/p>\n

\u201cDamari Simeon is truly one of the freakier movers along the defensive line we have seen this season. At 6-foot-2, 275 pounds, Simeon\u2019s burst and lateral ability are off the charts. He is able to destroy blockers as soon as the ball is snapped but also has the balance and body control in order to work down the line of scrimmage if the play is away from him. His ability to play with such low pad level and get underneath blockers pads allows him to manhandle offensive linemen with ease and it allows him to basically live in opposing backfields on every down. He has one of the highest floors in the entire country due to his ability to displace blockers consistently.\u201d<\/p>\n
