Last season, Mitchell played just 61 snaps, including only 36 on offense, logging 15 carries for 30 yards in five games played. He’ll enter 2025 as one of the most versatile home run threats in the NFL.<\/p>\n

2025 outlook<\/p>\n

A torn ACL cut short a dynamic rookie debut for Mitchell, but after regaining his footing in 2024, Mitchell enters year three feeling more explosive than he’s been since entering the NFL out of ECU. As a rookie, Mitchell led all running backs with at least a dozen attempts in yards per carry (8.4 avg) and told Ryan Mink that he has set personal records in all of his speed tracking analytics this offseason.<\/p>\n

Biggest question: Can Baltimore find snaps for the dual-threat RB?<\/p>\n

Mitchell averaged 8.4 yards per carry on 47 runs in his rookie year \u2013 the most in the NFL among all ball carriers with at least a dozen attempts. Still, in 2024, Derrick Henry carried the football 325 times, Lamar Jackson carried 139 times, and Justice Hill was third with 47 rushing attempts. Mitchell was fourth on the team with 15 carries and five games, and it’ll be on Todd Monken to find a role for the explosive, dual-threat running back.<\/p>\n
