Tyler Sullivan of CBS Sports<\/a> recently selected his one takeaway for each NFL team following offseason programs. For the Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a>, Sullivan’s takeaway was that the addition of wide receiver Dyami Brown was an “underrated” one.<\/p>\n

“The club signed him to a one-year, $10 million deal back in March, and the 25-year-old has been turning heads this offseason with his ability not only to stretch the field, but also developing his route tree,” wrote Sullivan.<\/p>\n

Both Liam Coen and Trevor Lawrence have had high praise for Brown and his play during offseason programs.<\/p>\n

With his speed, Brown adds another vertical presence to the Jaguars<\/a>‘ offense, but he can also get the ball on designed touches near the line of scrimmage or on quick throws in space where his YAC abilities can be on display.<\/p>\n

Along with his speed and the playmaking that comes with that, Coen has been impressed with Brown’s route-running ability with some of the\u00a0“daggers and in-cuts”<\/a>\u00a0he’s been tasked with running.<\/p>\n

Brown’s 308 receiving yards <\/a>during the 2024 regular season were a career high for him. However, he would add another 229 yards to that total in Washington’s three postseason games.<\/p>\n

As GM James Gladstone described earlier this offseason, the Jaguars view Brown as an ascending player, especially within Coen’s offense.<\/p>\n

\u201cMan, I’ve been super impressed with him,”\u00a0Lawrence said of Brown during minicamp.<\/a>\u00a0“His speed. Obviously, he is a threat down the field, which is important as a receiver who can stretch the field. But also, he’s a really, really smart football player.<\/p>\n

“He always has a feel for the zone, like where to sit, where to throttle, kind of those voids. I just think he’s really smart, and I’m really excited, adding him to the offense, to the weapons that we already have. It’s exciting.”<\/p>\n
