Marky Walbridge<\/a> committed to Michigan over fellow finalists Alabama, Boston College and Penn State. <\/p>\nWalbridge\u2019s decision came shortly after his official visit for Victors Weekend. Overall, Michigan has been recruiting Walbridge for more than a year and was always considered a frontrunner. <\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve been watching them since I was little,\u201d Walbridge said. \u201c\u201cThey have top of the line facilities. I really love the coaches. I loved what they had to say about the academics there, too.\u201d<\/p>\n
Both Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore and offensive line coach Grant Newsome played big role in winning over Walbridge.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve built a really good relationship with (Moore),\u201d Walbridge said. \u201cHe\u2019s a great coach. Michigan is basically O-Line U. They have the most offensive linemen in the NFL\u2026. I like (Newsome) a lot. He has a lot of energy and is a family guy.\u201d<\/p>\n
Michigan also impressed Walbridge\u2019s mother, Juliann.<\/p>\n
\u201cMarky is a humble kid,\u201d Juliann said. \u201cI love that about him. He really embodies the true lineman personality. He likes to do his job. He doesn\u2019t need the hype. He prides himself in not getting his quarterback sacked (laughs). Michigan really has a family atmosphere. All the players\u2019 families were really welcoming. We actually got to meet Colston Loveland\u2019s parents. The mantra of working hard and putting your team first really resonates with the players there and the program. You can tell by meeting their parents.\u201d<\/p>\n
At 6-foot-5.5, 285 pounds, Walbridge is ranked as the No. 16 interior offensive lineman and No. 235 overall recruit nationally, per On3. He is also ranked as the No. 2 overall recruit in the state of Massachusetts. <\/p>\n

Michigan entered the day with the No. 23 ranked 2026 recruiting class nationally, per the On3 Industry team recruiting rankings. Michigan is also ranked No. 12 in the Big Ten. USC currently has the top class in the conference.<\/p>\n
