You know what that means. Mock draft season for 2026 has begun!<\/p>\n

As the dust settles for this year\u2019s class, prognosticators have begun reading tea leaves for the next crop of NFL talent. <\/p>\n

Arch Manning has received some early high praise, becoming the projected No. 1 pick on some boards<\/a>. But where could the Dallas Cowboys<\/a> turn in the first round next year?<\/p>\n

The Cowboys went back to the offensive line well, selecting Alabama\u2019s Tyler Booker with the 12th overall pick last week. <\/p>\n

But in 2026, ESPN\u2019s Jordan Reid<\/a> has Dallas adding a weapon on the outside for Dak Prescott. <\/p>\n

With the No. 13 overall pick \u2014 which doesn\u2019t exactly shed positive light on ESPN\u2019s calculations for Dallas\u2019 outlook next season \u2014 the Cowboys were mocked to pick USC wide receiver Ja\u2019Kobi Lane.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Cowboys passed on taking a wide receiver early this year, so they still need a high-level complement to CeeDee Lamb,\u201d Reid wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cLane has a high-end catch radius and sudden movement traits at 6-4, 195 pounds. … If he expands his route tree and has a few more big games this fall, he could entrench himself as the WR1 of the class.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lane would need to declare of the draft early, as he is heading into his junior season at USC. <\/p>\n

Last year, in his first extensive playing time with the Trojans, he caught 43 passes for 525 yards and a striking 12 touchdowns. <\/p>\n
