The Pittsburgh Steelers will play the New York Jets on the road to kick off the 2025 regular season, and Jets star running back Breece Hall is hoping to get some revenge following the Steelers\u2019 37-15 routing a year ago.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe owe the Steelers one,\u201d Hall said<\/a> on the \u201cGet Got Pod with Marshawn Lynch & Mike Robinson.\u201d \u201cThey got us last year. I\u2019ve got to get Aaron [Rodgers]. I\u2019ve got to get Aaron, play him first game.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Hall managed just 38 yards on 12 carries (3.2 yards per carry) in the loss against Pittsburgh last season. And now, the two teams have swapped quarterbacks.<\/p>\n

The Jets signed quarterback Justin Fields<\/a> to a two-year, $40 million contract, with $30 million guaranteed in March. And the Steelers finally landed Rodgers earlier this month on a one-year, $13.65 million contract<\/a>, which\u00a0includes $10 million guaranteed.<\/p>\n

However, Fields wasn\u2019t a part of the two teams\u2019 Week 7 matchup last season. After leading Pittsburgh to a 4-2 start, he was benched for fellow quarterback Russell Wilson.<\/p>\n

Many have debated if that is the reason why Fields opted to join New York, instead. But it has since been reported that the guaranteed money was the difference<\/a> in the 26-year-old\u2019s decision.<\/p>\n

The Steelers will soon find out if that was the right decision, now with 41-year-old Rodgers, who admitted the 2025 season will likely be his last.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, I\u2019m pretty sure this is it,\u201d\u00a0Rodgers said<\/a>. \u201cYou know, that\u2019s why we just did a one-year deal. The Steelers didn\u2019t need to put any extra years on that or anything, so this was really about finishing with a lot of love and fun and peace for the career that I\u2019ve had. I mean, I\u2019ve played 20 freaking years. It\u2019s been a long run and I\u2019ve enjoyed it. What better place to finish than (with) one of the cornerstone franchises of the NFL.\u201d<\/p>\n

Either way, there\u2019s no doubt that the Steelers and Jets Week 1 meeting is one of the more interesting games of the 2025 season, and Hall is only adding to the storylines.<\/p>\n
