The Bulldogs hosted Lee for an official visit back on G-Day in April.

Lee took an unofficial visit to Georgia back on June 13. Those visits were coupled with Stacy Searels making two trips to Honolulu to see Lee in person.

Georgia has made its push for the four-star tackle. The Bulldogs landed four-star Ekene Ogboko last week and now they look to close on a second tackle prospect.

On3’s Recruiting Prediction favors Michigan. The Wolverines have a 95.8 percent chance of landing Lee, according to RPM. Lee took official visits to Alabama (May 30), Texas (June 6) and Michigan (June 20) in addition to his trips to Georgia.

The who, when and where for Malakai Lee’s announcement

Finalist: Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Texas

Time: 7:30 p.m. EST

Streaming: Lee’s Instagram

What has he said about Georgia?

Notable Quote: “Everyone was great,” Lee said. “I had the chance to really connect with Coach Edmund, Coach Searels, and a couple of offensive line guys… Coach Edmund has been in touch with me. But during the trip, I was able to connect with him. I also had the chance to spend more time with Coach Searels, which I really enjoyed. I also spent some time with Coach Smart, and that was awesome… I really liked everything I saw there.”

The Big Picture

Georgia has two starting tackles returning to the 2025 team in Earnest Greene and Monroe Freeling. They are both draft-eligible after the 2025 season concludes.

If they play well, they’ll have decisions to make. Georgia got a good look at their young group of tackles this spring: Bo Hughley, Jah Jackson, Juan Gaston, Jamal Meriweather, Michael Uini and Dennis Uzochukwu all got work at the tackle position.

Georgia has two players who can play offensive tackle committed in the class of 2026. Ogboko is a tackle by trade. Graham Houston plays tackle in high school, but is a candidate to slide inside at the college level.

Lee could be another name to compete in the future if he lands in Athens. Georgia can never have enough good bites at trying to land talented tackles.

Georgia is in the mix for another commitment as Honolulu (Hawaii) Kamehameha Secondary four-star offensive tackle Malakai Lee…

[2026
7,34923
0":"post-163708","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-football","8":"tag-football","9":"tag-malakai-lee-26-kamehameha-secondary
["GET
