Now that the NFL Draft<\/a> is over, we\u2019ll look at the former Syracuse Orange<\/a> to see how they fit in their new homes.<\/p>\n

Next up is running back LeQuint Allen, drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a> in the 7th round with the 236th pick in the Draft. The Houston Texans<\/a> originally owned this selection going but dealt their 7th-round pick in a trade with the Jaguars on Day 2.<\/p>\n

Allen was the second RB drafted by Jacksonville last week, the first being Virginia Tech<\/a>\u2019s Bhayshul Tuten. Along with his ACC counterpart, Allen joins Travis Etienne Jr., Tank Bigsby, Keilan Robinson and Ja\u2019Quinden Jackson in the running back room.<\/p>\n

While competition is high, Allen\u2019s receiving abilities are well above average, which gives him a solid chance to see some playing time in year one. Etienne Jr. is clearly the top option, but injuries forced him to miss one game last season and the entire 2021 campaign. Bigsby and Tuten are more downhill explosive rushers, making Allen a top candidate for taking shotgun snaps on third-and-long.<\/p>\n

Etienne is in the last year of his contract, so if Allen can impress in his rookie season, he could quickly move up the Jaguars\u2019 depth chart heading into 2026.
