Former Ravens lineman Mike Flynn joined a podcast as described how much the Ravens hate everything Pittsburgh Steelers.<\/p>\n

There is no rivalry in the NFL quite as physical and unpredictable as the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens. Though Pittsburgh has overall controlled the rivalry since 2020, the Ravens got a punch back<\/a> this season. On Thursday, former Ravens lineman Mike Flynn described the nearly three-decade-old rivalry.<\/p>\n

Flynn joined the Recruiting Board podcast<\/a> and was blount about feelings toward the Steelers. \u201cHateable, very hateable,\u201d Flynn said.<\/p>\n

The hate didn\u2019t stop at the team. Flynn then described everything he hated about the franchise. \u201cVery hateable team, very hateable city, very hateable fan base,\u201d Flynn said about the deep hate for Pittsburgh.<\/p>\n

There certainly is no love lost between the two teams, cities, and fan bases. All in all, Flynn described the Steelers and Ravens as expected.<\/p>\n

Now 18 years removed, How did Flynn feel about his old arch nemesis? \u201cI still dislike them. I like seeing them lose more than the Ravens win.\u201d Flynn said. It\u2019s safe to say, that will never change.<\/p>\n

Flynn described the birth of the rivalry as beginning in 2000 when Baltimore won for the first time in Three River Stadium. That season, they also won the Super Bowl with a historical defense. Since then, the two teams have collided in memorable matchups, usually with high stakes.<\/p>\n

Though the Steelers have a 36-27 all-time lead over the Ravens, Baltimore has won the last two postseason matchups<\/a>. Pittsburgh is still looking for its franchise quarterback, while Baltimore has its two-time MVP signalcaller.<\/p>\n

This season, Pittsburgh will look to exact revenge as they have retooled their team<\/a> since their brutal playoff loss. One thing is for certain: this is one of the few true hate-fueled rivalries in the NFL.<\/p>\n
