The New York Jets’ offense in 2025 has a lot of unknowns about it, with Justin Fields and Tanner Engstrand leading the group.<\/p>\n

Predicted to have a solid run game with Breece Hall, Braelon Allen, and Isaiah Davis, the Jets are expected to lean heavily on that, with Garrett Wilson as the only true consistent weapon in the passing game.<\/p>\n

The offensive line could be sneaky good<\/a> with two stud bookends in Olu Fashanu and Armand Membou, so Fields could be adequately protected, and good things will happen from there.<\/p>\n

But where does this Jets offense stack up against the rest of the NFL? For Pro Football Network, they are bullish on it, ranking it 19th.<\/p>\n

“Justin Fields brings a different dynamic to this unit, and a strong defense allows this offense to learn on the fly a bit,” Pro Football Network writes<\/a>. “This team doesn\u2019t need a top-10 offense to flirt with the postseason, but moving up a handful of spots will be required if they want to snap this decade-long run of disappointment.”<\/p>\n

We think most Jets fans would take that right now.<\/p>\n

Fields gets a clean runway for the starting role, and at OTAs and minicamp, he did impress at times, especially with his legs, which we know is nothing new.<\/p>\n

But the big key here is can Fields develop into a better passer? The run game might help his receivers see advantageous looks, but he has to prove he can consistently hit those passes.<\/p>\n

Aaron Glenn and Engstrand are all in on Fields, for this year at least, and who knows, maybe Justin can have a Baker Mayfield-like resurgence and push this offense past being 19th.<\/p>\n
