The Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted Alabama Crimson Tide linebacker Chris Braswell in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, and he struggled to find his place in Todd Bowles’ defense as a rookie.<\/p>\n

While there’s still hope that he can become a part of the regular defensive rotation at linebacker, the Bucs went out and signed veteran free agent Haason Reddick this offseason to a one-year “prove-it” deal.<\/p>\n

Depending on how Reddick works out, the Bucs might be in the market for another in 2026, and per ProFootballNetwork.com, they’ll go back to Alabama to find one<\/a>\u00a0in their three-round 2026 NFL Mock Draft.<\/p>\n

Round 1 – 21) Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/p>\n

If the Bucs are drafting a tight end in the second round next year, it would mean they’ve most likely given up on Cade Otton or got tired of his drops … or both.<\/p>\n

Depending on who you talk to, Sadiq is either the No. 1-ranked tight end for the class of 2026 or the No. 2, behind Vanderbilt’s Eli Stowers.<\/p>\n

It’s hard to really tell how good he is since his playing time was limited in 2024 behind eventual second-round pick Terrance Ferguson. But he did show flashes of his potential with 24 catches and 308 yards with two touchdowns.<\/p>\n
