Arch Manning<\/a> has spent some time traveling this summer. One of his big stops was in St. Louis to help out fellow Texas teammates Ryan Wingo<\/a>. The wide receiver put on a camp in his hometown, with Manning accompanying him alongside a few other Longhorns.<\/p>\n

Plenty of praise has come in for Manning on the move, including one of his uncles. Peyton<\/a> was encouraged to see his nephew in St. Louis with his guys. A positive sign from him about the type of leader Manning is going to be moving forward.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love seeing him going to that camp for his teammate,\u201d Peyton Manning\u00a0said<\/a>\u00a0Monday on\u00a0The Pat McAfee Show. \u201cThat\u2019s being good a good teammate, being a good wingman.\u201d<\/p>\n

Based on photos posted on social media, Manning had wide receiver\u00a0DeAndre Moore<\/a>, EDGE\u00a0Collin Simmons<\/a>, and offensive lineman\u00a0Nick Brooks<\/a> with him on the journey, too. Wingo attended St. Louis University<\/a> (SLUH) in high school before making his way down to the 40 Acres. Wanting to make an impact on the place he grew up, a camp was the best way to do so.<\/p>\n

Texas is hoping the off-field connection between Manning and Wingo translates this fall. We saw the two connect on multiple occasions when Manning got snaps in place of an injured Quinn Ewers<\/a> last year. Now, even bigger and better things are expected. And building a good chemistry can certainly begin with going back to St. Louis for a football camp.<\/p>\n

Arch Manning gives his take on St. Louis\u2019 Imo\u2019s Pizza<\/p>\n

The Wingo family apparently gave Manning and everyone else in attendance some Imo\u2019s Pizza for dinner one night. While plenty of people out there will disagree with him, Manning said he was a fan. Folks from St. Louis will be happy to hear that as well, some nice praise for something they love.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, we had it at the house the first night,\u201d Manning\u00a0said<\/a>\u00a0recently at the Manning Passing Academy. \u201d \u2026 It was good, it was good.\u201d<\/p>\n

No word from Manning on toasted ravioli, another staple in St. Louis. Pappy\u2019s Smokehouse is where a lot of people visiting the city go to get some ribs as well. Hopefully, the soon-to-be\u00a0Texas<\/a>\u00a0starting quarterback got a full spread while in the city. But at the very least, those who are passionate about their stance with Imo\u2019s will be glad to hear Manning enjoyed the pizza.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Arch Manning has spent some time traveling this summer.
