Alex Basara and his fianc\u00e9e, Ally Keller, have broken their silence about the viral incident that saw an Eagles fan hurl vulgar insults at Keller during Sunday\u2019s wild-card showdown between the Packers and Eagles.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Basara and Keller, Packers fans from Chester County, Pennsylvania, described the disconcerting scene that unfolded inside Lincoln Financial Field<\/a>, which ended with Ryan Caldwell being filmed calling Keller a \u201cdumb c\u2013t.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n In an interview with NBC10<\/a>, the couple said everything started friendly with the Eagles fans around them and that \u201che started out with playful jabs\u201d while Basara and Keller sat in their seats.\u00a0<\/p>\n A Philadelphia Eagles fan was captured on video heckling a female Packers fan repeatedly calling her a \u2018dumb c\u2013t\u2019 while her fiance, Alexander Basara, filmed the entire altercation in the stands at Lincoln Financial Field. Alexander Basara\/X<\/p>\n \u201cI chatted with him for a bit,\u201d Basara told the outlet. \u201cBut then he just kept saying some of the same things. Continued through the entire game. It got worse and worse as the game went on. We were surrounded by Eagles fans. We were getting all the attention.\u201d<\/p>\n Things started to get nastier, according to the couple, as the Eagles increased their lead over the Packers.\u00a0<\/p>\n At one point they said Caldwell asked them if they were having a good time and told the couple that they had \u201cterrible attitudes\u201d before going into detail about his third-grade teacher instilling in him the virtues of having a \u201cgreat attitude.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cHe was just going on and on and on,\u201d Keller said. \u201cHe wanted something out of us. So, I turned around, because I kind of had enough of it at this point, and I said, \u2018Well, maybe you should go back to third grade then because it seems like you\u2019re the one with the bad attitude. Alexander Basara\/X<\/p>\n The situation escalated from there and when Keller said that the insults started to come.\u00a0<\/p>\n She told NBC10 that Caldwell then began attacking her looks.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cAnd then he just said, \u2018Actually, you\u2019re not even good looking enough to be talking to me,\u2019\u201d Keller explained. \u201cAnd then I said, you know, \u2018What does that mean?\u2019 And he said, \u2018You know what that means.\u2019 And so I said, \u2018Have you looked in the mirror yourself?\u2019 And he said, \u2018Yeah, but I\u2019m a man. I\u2019m allowed to be ugly. You\u2019re a woman.’\u201d<\/p>\n Things only escalated, even after the pair said they asked a person sitting next to Caldwell they believed to be his brother if he could intercede to de-escalate the situation.\u00a0<\/p>\n As the tension grew, the couple said they were hesitant to engage too aggressively since they were the only Packers fans in the section in what Basara called a \u201cdangerous situation.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI was I guess trying to stay calm but I was pretty fuming at that point and just hopeful that another fan would tell this guy to stop.
