Detroit Lions<\/a> quarterback Jared Goff has been a model of consistency in the “Goff-ense” the last few seasons. However, at least one sportsbook believes that the loss of Ben Johnson<\/a> as his offensive coordinator is going to significantly cut into Goff’s production in 2025.<\/p>\n

The player prop betting odds at DraftKings present a pretty low bar for Goff in terms of over\/under passing yards. As of July 1st, the line is 3,900.5 yards as the over\/under mark for Goff’s passing yards in 2025. While that’s still a pretty impressive total, it lowballs Goff from the last three years.<\/p>\n

Goff has topped 4,400 yards in each of the last three years, elevating to a total of 4,629 yards in 2024. That total averages out to 272.3 yards per game. He accomplished that by completion a career-high 72.4 percent of his passes.<\/p>\n

The over\/under line presumes that losing Ben Johnson (and center Frank Ragnow <\/a>and RG Kevin Zeitler) is going to cost Goff almost 43 passing yards per game; the 3,900 total averages out to 229.4 yards per game over the 17-game schedule. The entire rest of the offense, including every skill position player, returns to Detroit in 2025, and the Lions also added exciting third-round rookie wideout Isaac TeSlaa to the mix.<\/p>\n

For Lions fans who believe strongly in Goff’s abilities and don’t think the coordinator and interior OL losses will hurt the quarterback, that “over” bet should be extremely appealing.
