One of the hardest things to do right now is predict how the 2025 season will go for the Dallas Cowboys.<\/p>\n

Yes, we aren’t even in Oxnard yet, but some have already given their take on what the year might look like. Colin Cowherd believes the Cowboys will be humiliated every week, while others, like Ryan Clark, think Dallas and Dak Prescott don’t have any excuses in 2025 – a deep playoff run is what is needed.<\/p>\n

I’m of the belief that if Dallas makes the playoffs under Brian Schottenheimer and can sneak a win, that’s a successful season.<\/p>\n

And for Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, despite the Micah Parsons distraction, the Cowboys should be playoff-bound.<\/p>\n

“Another year, another simmering contract situation for the Cowboys,” Breer wrote<\/a>. “The Micah Parsons negotiation will be front and center when the team lands in Oxnard, Calif., for training camp. That said, I think their new head coach, Brian Schottenheimer, is a good fit to handle it, given the culture he\u2019s started to build and will be a better fit in the role than people might expect. If young linemen Tyler Guyton, Cooper Beebe and Tyler Booker come along, Dallas should be in the playoff mix.”<\/p>\n

The offensive line, although revamped, has some question marks, especially regarding Tyler Guyton’s improvement and how Tyler Booker will adapt to the rigors of NFL football.<\/p>\n

The run game, with Miles Sanders and Javonte Williams (possibly Jaydon Blue), looks to be better than what Dak Prescott had last year, and then we have the George Pickens addition to help CeeDee Lamb and the passing game.<\/p>\n

Add all of that together, and with the injury bug that tore through the team last season staying away, the Cowboys should be up to their eyeballs in the NFC East race<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Will they win it? Who knows, but you don’t have to win the division to make the playoffs.<\/p>\n

And that might be what awaits Schottenheimer’s Cowboys in 2025.<\/p>\n
