Arizona Cardinals pass rusher Josh Sweat made his NFL Top 100 debut on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Coming off a Super Bowl run with the Philadelphia Eagles, Sweat came in at No. 95 on the list voted on<\/a> by current players.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe played a big role for us all year long,\u201d Eagles cornerback Cooper DeJean said on the NFL production. \u201cJust the way he\u2019s able to rush the edge and put pressure on the quarterback. Veteran guy, he\u2019s been doing it for a little while.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sweat turned in one of his best regular seasons as a pro last year for the Eagles behind 41 quarterback pressures, 8.0 sacks and 15 QB hits in 16 games (15 starts).<\/p>\n

But it was his six pressures and 2.5 sacks in Philadelphia\u2019s Super Bowl victory over the Kansas City Chiefs that caught the nation\u2019s eye and beefed up his free-agent status even more.<\/p>\n

After signing a four-year, $76.4 million deal with the Cardinals this offseason, Sweat now leads Arizona\u2019s new defensive movement<\/a> that includes cornerback Will Johnson as well as defensive linemen Dalvin Tomlinson, Calais Campbell and Walter Nolen III.<\/p>\n

\u201cI embrace it,\u201d Sweat said during minicamp. \u201cBut at the end of the day, I\u2019m just trying to be the best teammate. \u2026 I just want to help change whatever I can and make it better.\u201d<\/p>\n

And while he\u2019s got plenty of new faces to learn in Arizona, he\u2019s got a good idea of what head coach Jonathan Gannon is all about given their time in Philadelphia together.<\/p>\n

Playing under Gannon, who served as Philadelphia\u2019s defensive coordinator from 2021-22, Sweat turned in two of his most productive seasons. Across 32 games (29 starts), Sweat racked up 18.5 sacks, 22 tackles for loss and 36 QB hits. He earned a Pro Bowl nod in 2021.<\/p>\n

For an Arizona team that was paced by Zaven Collins\u2019 five sacks last season, seeing similar production from Sweat would go a long way in improving a pass rush that was 23rd in quarterback pressures with 197. For reference, the Denver Broncos paced the league with 265 pressures in 2024.<\/p>\n

Which other Cardinals have a shot a cracking the NFL Top 100?<\/p>\n

Aside from Sweat, there are a few other names to keep in mind as the remaining 94 names are revealed.<\/p>\n

The top two to watch are tight end Trey McBride and safety Budda Baker, a pair of Cardinals coming off their best seasons as pros.<\/p>\n

Baker set a new career mark for tackles with 164 and tackles for loss with 10 on the way to his seventh Pro Bowl nod and fourth All-Pro selection.<\/p>\n

McBride, meanwhile, exploded as one of the league\u2019s top tight ends behind 111 catches and 1,146 yards. He caught just two touchdowns but added one on the ground and another on a fumble recovery.<\/p>\n

Another Cardinal to keep tabs on is running back James Conner, who is coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons with at least seven rushing scores.<\/p>\n
