During their offseason program, the Los Angeles Rams<\/a> shuffled the roster a few times. Two of their most notable moves were the signings of veteran offensive tackles<\/a> D.J. Humphries and David Quessenberry.<\/p>\n

Following those additions, the Rams also released and then re-signed<\/a> cornerback Derion Kendrick in what was simply a financial decision.<\/p>\n

This week, we finally got some contract details on each of those signings. Humphries\u2019 deal<\/a> was the most expensive, coming with a cap hit of $2.36 million in 2025. Quessenberry\u2019s contract<\/a> is worth $1.33 million, almost all of which is fully guaranteed.<\/p>\n

As for Kendrick, his new contract<\/a> has a cap hit of only $1.03 million, which is far less than the $3.4 million he was set to make.<\/p>\n

So where do the Rams stand financially after these three transactions? According to Over The Cap<\/a>, they have $20.22 million in cap space. That\u2019s the 18th-most in the NFL for the upcoming season and is plenty to work with, especially if the Rams want to sign a free agent before Week 1 or make a big trade before the deadline.<\/p>\n

All three of the aforementioned players are counting against the cap as top-51 contracts on the current roster, but there\u2019s no penalty if the Rams decide to cut Kendrick before the season begins. Cutting Humphries or Quessenberry will come with dead cap charges of $2.34 million and $1.13 million, respectively.<\/p>\n
