Watt, who has been involved in trade rumors over the last few days.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Les Snead has never been afraid to trade draft picks for proven players, and Matthew Stafford is entering his age-37 season. That should put Watt firmly on Los Angeles&#8217; radar,&#8221; Camenker wrote.<\/p>\n<p>The Rams don&#8217;t need Watt, as the team&#8217;s pass rush is already formidable, and they also have a budding star edge rusher in Jared Verse, who is ready to take the next step in 2025 after winning Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Though Watt would be more of a luxury for Los Angeles, general manager Les Snead should try to acquire the seven-time Pro Bowler if he lands on the market.<\/p>\n<p>Watt, who is entering the final year of his deal in 2025 and is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/45619446\/sources-teams-mulling-trade-offers-steelers-tj-watt\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:unhappy with his current contract situation in Pittsburgh;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">unhappy with his current contract situation in Pittsburgh<\/a>, is still a prolific pass rusher who has led the league in sacks three times and posted six double-digit sack campaigns.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Pairing the 30-year-old with Verse, Kobie Turner, Brandon\u00a0\u00a0Fiske, and Byron Young would give Los Angeles the best defensive line in recent memory.<\/p>\n<p>Los Angeles has a ton of draft picks and <a href=\"https:\/\/overthecap.com\/salary-cap\/los-angeles-rams\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:cap space in the future.;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">cap space in the future.<\/a> They have the resources to trade for Watt and give him an extension, but we still find it hard to believe that the future Hall of Famer will be anywhere but with the Steelers in 2026 and for years to come.<\/p>\n<p>Though negotiations don&#8217;t look great right now, Watt and Pittsburgh will likely eventually come to terms on a long-term deal to keep him in the Steel City for the next few years.
