The Cincinnati Bengals are fresh off a 9-8 campaign, during which they failed to make the postseason for the second season in a row.<\/p>\n

There were a number of factors as to why, not the least of which was injuries.<\/p>\n

As the teams around the NFL prepare for training camp, Pro Football Network ranked every offense as they stand now<\/a>, and the while the Bengals are in the top 10, some might say that’s not high enough.<\/p>\n

7) Cincinnati Bengals<\/p>\n

“Much like the Cardinals, the Cincinnati Bengals deserved much more in the way of results last season if you only look at how their offense graded out,” PFN wrote<\/a>. “Joe Burrow has his top two receivers back in the mix, a route-running tight end, and a running back whose best days are ahead of him. It\u2019s safe to assume that this high-flying act will be lighting up scoreboards this season, giving the defense every chance to help them get back to the postseason.”<\/p>\n

Of the teams listed ahead of Cincinnati, there are at least two that stand out as curious. No. 6 is the Washington Commanders, and No. 5 is the Arizona Cardinals.<\/p>\n

The Commanders are coming off an incredible season that saw their first NFC Championship Game appearance since 1991, but still have questions on offense, especially with Jayden Daniels entering Year 2 of his NFL career.<\/p>\n

But the Cardinals are the most curious. PFN cites the Marvin Harrison Jr. factor as one of the reasons the team is ranked so high, but he’s just one player. It fails to mention quarterback Kyler Murray, who has failed to establish himself as one of the league’s top signal-callers since being drafted in 2019.<\/p>\n

Either way, the Bengals are hoping for an improved offense to pair with a defense that disappointed last season.<\/p>\n
