Caitlin Clark has been sidelined for the Indiana Fever for a week now due to a groin injury, which has even prevented her from playing in the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup final against the Minnesota Lynx.<\/p>\n

Overall this 2025 season, Clark has missed a total of eight games. She was out for five straight games earlier in the campaign due to a quad injury.<\/p>\n

While it’s the first time in her career that Clark has missed this many games \u2014 she played in all 40 regular-season games with the Fever last season and all 139 games in her four years in college\u00a0\u2014 former NFL player and now Fox Sports analyst Emmanuel Acho can’t help but be concerned about her recent string of health setbacks.<\/p>\n

In the latest episode of “The Facility,” Acho suggested that Clark could become an injury-prone player, noting that he’s “worried” the Fever guard might not be able to “sustain the pro rigors of the game.”<\/p>\n

Acho questioned Clark’s physical conditioning, especially amid the tighter defense she’s facing in the WNBA.<\/p>\n

“She’s had two injuries now, both are soft tissue injuries, she didn’t turn on somebody’s ankle, she didn’t get elbowed into a rib,” Acho stated. “They’re soft tissue injuries. I am now becoming worried about Caitlin Clark being able to sustain the pro rigors of the game.”<\/p>\n

Fans, however, took issue with the comments of the former Philadelphia Eagles player. Many noted that it’s still too early to have that conversation, while others defended Clark and emphasized how Acho failed to mention that the Fever All-Star was just fine in her first year in the WNBA as a rookie.<\/p>\n

“Acho is on a generational run of terrible takes,” a commenter said. Another one echoed a similar sentiment, noting, “This dude is terrible at his job.”<\/p>\n

“These takes are so bad lol,” a social media user wrote.<\/p>\n

“Another garbage take, the only thing consistent about this show,” a critic added.<\/p>\n

“His takes have been horrible lately,” a fifth poster remarked.<\/p>\n

“I swear people will go to crazy measures to say something stupid about CC. @emmanuelacho you say some of the dumbest things literally to try and get views. It\u2019s getting sad how bad your takes are,” an angry follower further stated.<\/p>\n

It has yet to be seen when Clark will return to play, especially as the Fever remain cautious of her condition. There’s no denying that her absence has been quite a blow to the team. After all, it’s hard to replace her 18\/5\/9 average production<\/a>.<\/p>\n
