ENGLEWOOD, Colo. \u2014 The Broncos are headed back to prime time.<\/p>\n
Denver’s Week 16 road matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers has been flexed to “Thursday Night Football” on Prime Video, the NFL announced Friday.<\/p>\n
The Broncos’ matchup with the Chargers at SoFi Stadium was previously slated for 2:05 p.m. MT on FOX.<\/p>\n
Denver’s meeting with Los Angeles is the first game to be flexed to “Thursday Night Football” under the new flexible scheduling procedures introduced in 2023. Under the new rules, up to two “Thursday Night Football” games between Weeks 13-17 may be flexed. The league is required to make the flex decision 28 days before the “Thursday Night Football” game that it plans to shift.<\/p>\n
The Broncos last appeared on “Thursday Night Football” in Week 7, and the Broncos earned a 33-10 win over the Saints in New Orleans.<\/p>\n
Denver will also play on “Monday Night Football” against the Browns in Week 13, which means the Broncos will play at least three prime-time games this season. The dates and times of Denver’s Week 17 and Week 18 games have yet to be announced.<\/p>\n
The Bengals were previously slated to host the Browns in the previously scheduled “Thursday Night Football” game.<\/p>\n
