THE magnificent Levi’s Stadium is getting a $ 200 million face lift ahead of hosting the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n

The stadium is just 11 years old and one of the best in the NFL<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The home of the San Francisco 49ers<\/a> is hosting the Concacaf Gold Cup this summer.<\/p>\n

And fans visiting this week will see some of the upgrades already in place.<\/p>\n

Mexico faces Honduras in the semifinal Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

It will be the first major event to show off the upgrades.<\/p>\n

Levi\u2019s Stadium now boasts the\u00a0largest\u00a0outdoor 4K video boards in the NFL<\/a>.<\/p>\n

LED ribbon boards and upgraded lighting have also been installed.<\/p>\n

Part of the $200 million budget also went under the stadium’s turf.<\/p>\n

Crews installed a brand-new drainage and ventilation system to make the field FIFA-compliant. <\/p>\n

Levi’s is one of 16 stadiums across the US, Mexico and Canada being used for the 2026 Fifa World Cup.<\/a><\/p>\n

But the biggest event on the stadium’s horizon is Super Bowl LX<\/a> in February.<\/p>\n

It\u2019ll be the second time the stadium the game after Super Bowl 50.<\/p>\n

Levi\u2019s Stadium only opened in 2014 at a cost of $1.3 billion.<\/p>\n

The stadium in Santa Clara moved the 49ers from their previous home Candlestick Park.<\/p>\n

Since Levi’s was built, more hi-tech stadiums have also popped up all over America.<\/p>\n

And with a Super Bowl on the horizon, the stadium is being brought bang up to date.<\/p>\n

The brand new SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, and Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, have hosted Super Bowls in recent years.<\/p>\n

SoFi Stadium came with an estimated price tag of $6 billion.<\/p>\n

And Allegiant Stadium cost around $2 billion to build.<\/p>\n

The 49ers’ first home game in the 2025 season will be against the Arizona Cardinals.<\/p>\n
