We’re still very much in the doldrums of the NFL offseason, but not for long!<\/p>\n

We’ve got the Hall of Fame game coming up later this month from Canton, and a lot of Hall of Famers were highlighted in a recent write up at ESPN.com.<\/p>\n

Ben Solak was tasked with choosing\u00a0the best players ever selected<\/a> at each and every NFL Draft slot, from #1 to #262.\"KSOO-AM<\/p>\n

It was an audacious idea, and he hit it out of the park. Solak highlighted the best players to ever have been selected at any spot during the draft, and a lot of Minnesota Vikings made the cut.<\/p>\n

Here’s a look at the Top 5<\/a>:<\/p>\n

1) Peyton Manning – 1998 – Indianapolis Colts<\/p>\n

2) Lawrence Taylor – 1981 – New York Giants<\/p>\n

3) Barry Sanders – 1989 – Detroit Lions<\/p>\n

4) Walter Payton – 1975 – Chicago Bears<\/p>\n

5) Deion Sanders – 1989 – Atlanta Falcons<\/p>\n

The Vikings have rarely picked in the Top 5 of the NFL Draft and haven’t done so since back in 2012 when they took Matt Kalil at #4.<\/p>\n

Minnesota was represented very nicely throughout the list though, as they had a total of 12 picks and players represented. Here’s a look at who made the cut:<\/p>\n
