According to a rival NFL<\/a> scout, Cleveland Browns<\/a> quarterback Shedeur Sanders<\/a> fell dramatically in the Draft due to serious character flaws. Which is not exactly an earth-shattering revelation.<\/p>\n

The anonymous scout revealed that teams didn\u2019t like Sanders\u2019 approach to their meetings.<\/p>\n

\u201cShedeur Sanders is a very polarizing guy,\u201d he told Athlon Sports<\/a>. \u201cWe didn\u2019t like his attitude and how he handled the draft process. He wasn\u2019t prepared. He mailed it in at every step. He didn\u2019t take it seriously enough.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other than that \u2026<\/p>\n

Despite being a highly touted quarterback prospect from Colorado<\/a>, Shedeur Sanders experienced a dramatic slide in the draft, falling to the fifth round before being selected by the Browns at pick No. 144. He was their second quarterback selection for a squad that already had three in the locker room.<\/p>\n

Several NFL insiders have said Sanders\u2019 attitude was a major dealbreaker. But this scout\u2019s assessment goes beyond that. A quarterback who is not prepared or mails it in for practices and games is not someone you want leading your club.<\/p>\n

Why is Shedeur Sanders falling in the 2025 NFL Draft?<\/p>\n

As a former NFL Scout, allow me to explain.<\/p>\n

1. He\u2019s not good enough on his game film.<\/p>\n

Does Shedeur Sanders Have a Chance to Make a Comeback?<\/p>\n

According to Athlon, the same rival scout said Shedeur Sanders isn\u2019t necessarily out of the running to have a decent NFL career. But beyond his attitude, there are some things he needs to fix.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf he figures out that he doesn\u2019t have it all figured out and applies himself, I can still see him having success,\u201d he said, according to the outlet. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s got a lot of tools. He\u2019s just not a great athlete, and he has to cut out some bad habits as far as taking sacks, staring down reads, and patting the football excessively.\u201d<\/p>\n

Most of that involves things that can be corrected. The big red flag, though, is the comment that Sanders is \u201cjust not a great athlete.\u201d<\/p>\n

How are you going to fix that perception and excel on the Browns depth chart, let alone against the entire league?<\/p>\n

Right Now, It\u2019s Not Looking Good<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve seen some reports on social media that scouts have been impressed with Shedeur Sanders during their practices. But, due to his place on the depth chart \u2013 he\u2019s currently not even listed<\/a>, meaning he\u2019s dead last in a crowded locker room \u2013 he\u2019s playing against some low-level defenders.<\/p>\n

NFL analyst Emmanuel Acho suggests Sanders was only brought in to take up space during training camp.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe reality for Shedeur Sanders is this: As a 5th-round pick, it rarely matters how talented you are, you may never even get the opportunity to win the starting job,\u201d Acho said, according to The Sporting News<\/a>. \u201cSometimes, as a 5th, 6th, 7th round pick, they are already cutting you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou are a camp body, you are there for training camp.\u201d<\/p>\n

One NFL legend, though, has some hope for Shedeur. As\u00a0Tom Brady explains<\/a>, all he has to do is perform on the field, and the rest will take care of itself.<\/p>\n
