MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. \u2013 The Miami Dolphins won\u2019t kick off the 2025 season until September, but the NFL released the first list of its annual Top 100 rankings on Friday \u2013 with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa coming in at No. 91.<\/p>\n

Players across the league vote to determine the list.<\/p>\n

Tagovailoa\u2019s ranking dropped significantly from No. 36 last season, but this shouldn\u2019t come as a surprise \u2013 as the former Alabama standout missed six and a half games in 2024 due to a concussion and hip injury.<\/p>\n

The Dolphins averaged just 13.3 points per game and went 2-4 in the games Tagovailoa missed, compared to a 6-5 mark and scoring 24.1 points per game when he was active.<\/p>\n

Tagovailoa checked in at No. 82 prior to the 2023 season, easily his best in a Dolphins uniform \u2013 leading the league in passing yards (4,624).<\/p>\n

As the Dolphins look for their first AFC East title since 2008 and first playoff win since 2000, Tagovailoa\u2019s availability moving forward will be crucial to the franchise\u2019s trajectory.<\/p>\n

The final list is scheduled for Sept. 1. <\/p>\n

Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill earned the No. 1 spot last season \u2013 becoming the first wide receiver to get the top spot in the annual rankings since their inception in 2011.<\/p>\n
