5<\/p>\n Jimmy Johnson, left, worked his final Fox NFL Sunday broadcast during Super Bowl 59 in FebruaryCredit: AP 5<\/p>\n New England Patriots legend Julian Edelman speaks onstage at Fanatics Fest NYC 2025 on June 20<\/p>\n Johnson worked on Fox NFL Sunday<\/a> since its 1994 inception.<\/p>\n The broadcasting icon hinted he would be walking away from the show in the Super Bowl<\/a> in February.<\/p>\n But Johnson confirmed the news one month later<\/a>, following 31 years with the TV team.<\/p>\n The U.S. Sun caught up with Edelman at Fanatics Fest in New York City late last month and asked him about Johnson’s retirement.<\/p>\n Read More on Fox NFL Sunday<\/p>\n “It’s crazy. He’s such a pivotal part of that show, and I learned so much from him. Jimmy’s the best,” Edelman said.<\/p>\n Edelman also believes that Johnson will be back and join Michael Strahan<\/a>, Terry Bradshaw<\/a>, Howie Long, and Curt Menefee for a few segments in the upcoming season.<\/p>\n “I’m sure he’ll be back in some capacity. He’s got to do a couple of bits,” he said.<\/p>\n “I love Jimmy… What an unbelievable career. “<\/p>\n At the age of 39, Edelman is one of the youngest NFL analysts in the business.<\/p>\n The three-time Super Bowl champion has worked on Fox NFL Kickoff since 2023, and his future could be at Fox NFL Sunday.<\/p>\n Edelman addressed whether he sees himself joining the primary pre-game show eventually<\/a>.<\/p>\n “I don’t know. I love what I do. I get to explain the game that I love with people I like working with,” Edelman said.<\/p>\n “Right now, I’m just enjoying Fanatics Fest right here… and excited like everyone else for the start of the season.”<\/p>\n It’s expected that Johnson will be replaced by Rob Gronkowski<\/a>, who filled in for the 81-year-old during portions of the 2024 season.<\/p>\n There are others on Fox NFL Sunday whose future is uncertain.<\/p>\n 5<\/p>\n The 39-year-old Edelman spoke to The U.S. Sun about Johnson’s retirement<\/p>\n The 76-year-old\u00a0Bradshaw\u00a0revealed that he’ll retire the\u00a0next\u00a0time Fox broadcasts the Super Bowl, which will be when he’s 80.<\/p>\n “I told my wife before I even left the room awhile ago,”\u00a0Bradshaw said at Super Bowl 59 in February<\/a>.<\/p>\n “I was sitting there and I said, \u2018I\u2019ve got two years left at Fox.
