It’s officially college football season! Although we’re still a few weeks away from actual kickoff, fans have taken to the virtual gridiron in EA Sports College Football 26, which launched in early access today. Those who pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition of this year’s game (or the MVP Bundle with Madden NFL 26) have been able to jump in and play the latest version of EA’s college football video game. And with it’s release, we now have a proper look at the full player and team ratings.<\/p>\n

Just like last year’s game, the ratings in\u00a0EA Sports College Football 26\u00a0differ when looking at “Play Now” and “Dynasty”. For example, the UCF Knights are a 78 Overall with 73 Offense and 80 Defense in “Play Now”. However, in Dynasty the Knights are rated 81 Overall with 79 Offense and 84 Defense.\u00a0<\/p>\n

EA has never come out and explained why this is the case, though it’s believed that the “Play Now” mode reflects the actual rosters with high disparity, while Dynasty is intentionally more balanced to reward more stable roster-building and progression for long-term play.<\/p>\n

Remember, in Dynasty, team ratings the only thing you’ll want to look at when choosing a program. A school’s Prestige rating is equally as important as it can often dictate the potential future. The higher the star rating, the more recruiting hours you’ll have, giving you a better chance to land top-tier recruits and and talent.<\/p>\n

There are only five teams with Five stars: Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Ohio State. There are a few more with four or four-and-a-half stars, including Clemson, Florida, FSU, LSU, Miami, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, USC, and Washington.<\/p>\n
