Former Eagles defensive end Bryan Braman, who’s seen celebrating after helping his team beat the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 52, is fighting a life-threatening form of cancerCredit: Getty<\/p>\n

Since February, former Eagles<\/a> defensive end Bryan Braman has been battling a rare and life-threatening form of cancer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It was recently revealed that Braman has been receiving treatments for 12 weeks, which has hurt his finances.<\/p>\n

A GoFundMe<\/a> has been set up by Braman’s friend, William Jones, to help cover the costs of his treatments.<\/p>\n

The post showed the top donor contributors, and Watt is at the top as he donated $10,000 to the cause.<\/p>\n

Others who contributed to the fund include former NFL players such as Chris Long, Duane Brown, Brian Cushing, and Brent Celek.<\/p>\n

Long and Celek are former Eagles teammates of Braman’s.<\/p>\n

And other ex-teammates Najee Goode and Rasul Douglas, both donated.<\/p>\n

The target goal was originally set at $25,000, and it has raised $87,069 as of Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n

An update on Braman’s health situation was revealed on June 20.<\/p>\n

“Bryan is home with his\u00a0family\u00a0after undergoing a CAR-T cell programming treatment program in Seattle,” the update read on the GoFundMe post.<\/p>\n

“With the cancer that Bryan has, which is a very rare form of cancer, the CAR-T treatment had the highest chance of success as the cells are reprogrammed to fight this cancer that is within Bryan.<\/p>\n

“His cells did re-infuse themselves and did in fact start reproducing within his bone marrow.<\/p>\n

“At first the mass did start to shrink, but then the cancer started fighting back.<\/p>\n

“At this point Bryan has had to start having chemo treatments that are designed for the treatment program Bryan is in.”<\/p>\n

The update added that Braman and his close ones “are currently paying over 100\/day for their motels,” and the funds will help the seven-year NFL vet “to rent an Airbnb to be able to rest.”<\/p>\n

Braman played in the NFL from 2011 to 2017.<\/p>\n

He originally signed with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent and spent three years with the team.<\/p>\n

Braman then joined the Eagles in 2014 and returned to the franchise in December 2017 after being released by the New Orleans Saints during that season.<\/p>\n
