Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow <\/a>had planned to buy a Batmobile replica, but a burglary at his home changed his mind about the Batman-inspired purchase.<\/p>\n

During a scene in the Netflix docuseries \u201cQuarterback\u201d<\/a> that was released Tuesday, Burrow said he no longer is trying to get the iconic comic book car.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t end up getting the Batmobile because I just had other things I wanted to deal with at that point,\u201d Burrow said.<\/p>\n

On Dec. 9, burglars broke into Burrow\u2019s home while his girlfriend, Olivia Ponton, was inside. The thieves took $300,000 worth of items, including necklaces with pendants that had Burrow\u2019s jersey number on them. Burrow was not home at the time because he was playing on Monday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys.<\/p>\n

Four men from Chile who are allegedly members of a South American theft ring were arrested for their roles in the burglary. One of the men tried to delete pictures associated with the crime, including photos of the suspects smiling while posing with Burrow\u2019s stolen items.<\/p>\n

Burrow was not the only athlete targeted in the crime spree. Both Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes<\/a> and his teammate, tight end Travis Kelce<\/a>, had items stolen from their homes.<\/p>\n

The Batmobile replica Burrow had considered purchasing was one of 10 \u201cTumbler\u201d replicas<\/a> from the movies \u201cBatman Begins,\u201d \u201cThe Dark Knight\u201d and \u201cThe Dark Knight Rises. \u201cThe replica cost nearly $3 million. Owning that vehicle could continue to make him a target. Burrow said in the documentary that he was even reconsidering where he lived. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe whole world knows where I live now,\u201d Burrow said. \u201cThat has not been very fun to deal with.\u201d<\/p>\n
