recent press conference<\/a>, Humphrey was asked to give his early impressions of Hopkins, a five-time Pro Bowler and three-time first-team All-Pro. Humphrey then recalled an \u201cextremely humbling\u201d conversation they had.<\/p>\n\u201cI like D-Hop. I\u2019ve gotten to have some conversations with him. He is \u2018Mr. Contested Catch.\u2019 That is for sure. Just having a conversation with him, I thought it was really humbling,\u201d Humphrey said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe asked him \u2014 me and one of the strength coaches \u2014 \u2018What do you think about the team from the outside looking in since you\u2019ve been on other teams?\u2019 And he said, \u2018It seems like there\u2019s been a piece that\u2019s been missing. I could be that addition. I could not be that addition.\u2019 And to hear a veteran guy, All-Pro guy, Pro Bowl guy say he could be, or he could not be [the piece that\u2019s missing], to me, that was extremely humbling. I feel that he fits the Ravens mold, and I think he\u2019ll fit right in.\u201d<\/p>\n
The 33-year-old Hopkins has amassed 984 receptions for 12,965 yards and 83 touchdowns during his Hall of Fame-caliber career with the Houston Texans, Arizona Cardinals, Titans and Chiefs since being selected by Houston in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft.<\/p>\n
Last season, Hopkins tallied 41 receptions for 437 yards and four touchdowns across 10 regular season games with the Chiefs before adding three catches for 29 yards and a touchdown over three postseason games, with that touchdown coming in Super Bowl LIX against the Philadelphia Eagles.<\/p>\n
