Michael \u201cThe Miz\u201d Mizanin<\/a> and George Kittle<\/a> — playfully — don\u2019t get along.<\/p>\n

In an exclusive interview with NBC Sports Bay Area\u2019s Matt Maiocco at the American Century Championship in South Lake Tahoe, the WWE Superstar<\/a> explained why he holds a grudge against the star 49ers tight end and hyped up his Cleveland Browns ahead of their home game against San Francisco during the 2025 NFL season.<\/p>\n

\u201c[The 49ers are] going to lose,\u201d Mizanin told Maiocco. \u201cThey\u2019re going to lose to the Cleveland Browns. I\u2019m sorry, Bay Area, I know you\u2019re huge fans of your beloved 49ers. But look, to George Kittle, Brock Purdy<\/a>, to all you little 49ers out there, you\u2019re going to lose to the Cleveland Browns, and that\u2019s just going to happen.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cYou don\u2019t think I forgot that George Kittle clotheslined me and helped Pat McAfee<\/a> beat me at WrestleMania? I hold a grudge. I hold a grudge. What\u2019s going to happen is that I\u2019m going to beat George Kittle here, and then the Browns are going to beat him [in Cleveland].\u201d<\/p>\n

Mizanin is rooting extra hard for his Browns, and extra hard against Kittle, because of this iconic moment from WWE WrestleMania 39<\/a> on April 1, 2023.<\/p>\n

Yeah \u2026 Mizanin\u2019s stance hilariously is fair.<\/p>\n

He shared more context with Maiocco about Kittle\u2019s takedown.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cGeorge Kittle, I thought we were friends; I thought he was a good guy,\u201d Mizanin told Maiocco. \u201cBut come WrestleMania, I\u2019m hosting at SoFi Stadium, 70,000 in attendance, millions watching at home. \u2026 [Kittle\u2019s] in the crowd, he\u2019s a fan. Pat McAfee comes out and says, \u2018Hey, man. I don\u2019t have a match, you don\u2019t have a match. I\u2019ll take you on right now.\u2019… I see George Kittle cheering Pat McAfee on. What do you do when a person you think should be cheering for you is not?\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI pushed [Kittle] down and said, \u2018Sit down and shut up.\u2019 And then I started walking away. And what does he do? He hops the barricade, and I turn around like, \u2018What is this guy going to do?’ And before I can even turn around, he clotheslines me, throws me into the ring, and Pat McAfee punts my face, pins me, one-two-three. Now, what would you do in that situation?\u201d<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no way around it. Kittle did Mizanin dirty.<\/p>\n

\u201cWould you hold a grudge? Would you be angry? \u2026 You watch \u2018em on Netflix, they\u2019re good people,\u201d Mizanin told Maiocco, referencing Kittle\u2019s role on Netflix’s docuseries “Receiver.\u201d \u201cBut man, he did that to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fortunately for \u201cThe Miz,\u201d he\u2019ll have the chance to take down Kittle — on the green.\u00a0A possible victory over Kittle would give Mizanin some peace of mind.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, I\u2019m going to beat him, so. Maybe if I beat him, we\u2019ll bury the hatchet,\u201d Mizanin told Maiocco. \u201cMaybe I\u2019ll hit him with something on 17, if I see him. Could you imagine me hitting him with a skullcrusher finale on 17?\u201d<\/p>\n

Mizanin added that Kittle, if he ever seriously pursued professional wrestling<\/a>, would have to go through \u201cThe Miz\u201d and wouldn\u2019t last four seconds. And Mizanin concluded by jokingly saying he\u2019s going to injure Kittle, preventing him from playing for the 49ers.<\/p>\n
