On3 visited Morehouse College in Atlanta for a field day sponsored by his foundation (AJ Terrell Foundation) and hosted by Atlanta-based nonprofit CAMP HBCYouth. While speaking with reporters before the start of the field day, Terrell said the success of the event will lead to more events sponsored by his foundation in the future.

“This will probably be the last one of the year before I lock in for the season, but I’ve got some more events coming up during the football season that we’re still finalizing on, and next year, like I said, it’s just going to keep growing year in year out,” AJ Terrell told On3 and other reporters. “The past two years, I haven’t did my own camp, but that’s because I want to plan accordingly and get things the right way. But next year, 2026 will definitely be a big year as far as camps goes for myself and for my organization and foundation.”

Sergio Martinez

Terrell spent the day at the camp and spoke to the kids who participated in different activities and games. CAMP HBCYouth is a summer program designed to reflect the spirit, values and excellence of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU),” according to the official website. The camp featured opportunities to Amazon Access programs, including payment with SNAP EBT, Access Discounts, and Prime Access, which offers all the benefits of a regular Prime membership at 50% of the cost for qualifying government assistance recipients and income-verified customers in the U.S.

“I’m all about the kids and giving back to the community,” Terrell stated. “And my foundation, my team found Camp HBCYouth last year. It just wasn’t no hesitation in just helping out, just as far as education and the sports side. My childhood, I was outside a lot. I feel like this generation is different as far as being outside.”

“You look out your window and now, you don’t really see as many kids outside as back in the day when I used to be outside. It’s a generation where everybody got phones and tablets. You lose sight of the importance of being outside, building friendships and relationships with kids around the community and the neighborhood and just playing sports, going to school together.”

AJ Terrell, who plalyed college football at Clemson, is entering his sixth season with the Falcons.
