The Los Angeles Rams<\/a> enter the 2025 NFL season with a few changes but a lot of the same pieces from the 2024 season.<\/p>\n

Matthew Stafford is back, Davante Adams replaced Cooper Kupp and the draft added six young players \u2014 three on offense and three on defense.<\/p>\n

ESPN’s Mike Clay<\/a> went through every roster in the NFL to grade positional units and overall teams before they all head to summer camps.<\/p>\n

Overall, Clay gave the Rams a 6.1 out of 10 grade, meaning they ranked as the 12th-best roster at the moment. The highest are the Baltimore Ravens<\/a> and Detroit Lions<\/a> at 7.7). The offense ranked ninth with a 3.8 grade (the highest is 4.9) and the defense ranked 19th with a 2.4 (the highest was 3.4).<\/p>\n

Here is how every positional unit graded out for the Rams (out of 10, which is the highest grade):<\/p>\n

Quarterback: 6Running back: 7Wide receiver: 9Tight end: 5Offensive line: 7Defensive line: 7Edge rush: 7Linebacker: 2Cornerback: 4Safety: 6<\/p>\n

Unsurprisingly, the Rams got high marks for their receiver room led by Adams and Puka Nacua. This groups 9.0 grade tied for first with the Philadelphia Eagles<\/a>, Minnesota Vikings<\/a>, Cincinnati Bengals<\/a> and Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Even less shocking is to see the tight end unit finish with a 5.0 grade and the linebackers finish with a 2.0. That linebacker grade finished tied for 32nd with the Las Vegas Raiders<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The hope for L.A. is that 2025 draft picks Terrance Ferguson and Chris Paul Jr. can upgrade the tight end and linebacker group, respectively. The other poorly-graded unit, cornerback, remains an issue that could be resolved with another free agent pickup or a veteran trade.<\/p>\n
