Cleveland Browns rookie running back Quinshon Judkins, the former Ohio State star who recently vowed to help “change the culture” of the Browns, has been arrested on a domestic violence and battery charge in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday, according to Florida law enforcement officials.<\/p>\n

Judkins is in jail as of Saturday night; the Browns are telling the media that they “are aware and gathering more details,” according to a team spokesperson.<\/p>\n

Cleveland selected Judkins with the No. 36 overall pick in the 2025 draft.<\/p>\n

Judkins is fresh off a College Football Playoff national championship after a season where he led his team with 1,060 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns.<\/p>\n

The Browns are coming off an abysmal three-win season that was plagued by poor play and injuries.<\/p>\n

But Judkins, 21, has said he excited to be part of what he calls a “great” draft class and has expectations of helping to change the culture in Cleveland, a franchise that has turned the page from former star running back Nick Chubb.<\/p>\n

Judkins recently said, “When I come to be a Cleveland Brown, I’m coming in to change the organization, contribute, do the best I can. I know what it takes to win, so I’m going to bring that mentality here to Cleveland and do the same thing.”<\/p>\n

Judkins is slated to compete with fellow rookie draft pick Dylan Sampson and veteran Jerome Ford. … and with Browns rookies reporting for training camp on July 18, he has talked confidently about his abilities.<\/p>\n

“I really don’t listen to the good or bad,” Judkins said. “That’s just how I was raised, that’s part of my upbringing, just dialed in and focused as an athlete. The people who know me, who recruited me, they know I have a lot of accomplishments. Freshman of the Year SEC, everything. Turn on the tape. It shows. I do everything as a player. Complete running back, every-down running back, catch, block, run 80 yards, 90 yards, whatever you want me to do, I’ll do it. I’m just excited to do it at the next level.”<\/p>\n
