Kelly Stafford said the sports world is \u201cdramatic as hell\u201d while discussing the discourse surrounding UNC football coach Bill Belichick and his 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson.<\/p>\n

During the latest installment of her\u00a0\u201cThe Morning After\u201d\u00a0podcast<\/a>, the wife of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford agreed with her co-host, Hank Winchester, who said it was \u201cunacceptable\u201d for Hudson to interrupt Belichick\u2019s recent interview with \u201cCBS Sunday Mornings\u201d when the subject shifted to their relationship.<\/p>\n

However, Stafford explained that the topic was \u201cfair game\u201d because Hudson is public about her and the 73-year-old Belichick\u2019s relationship on social media for the public to see.<\/p>\n

\u201cBill Belichick, you never really saw him much in the social media platform stuff and now he\u2019s everywhere with her,\u201d Stafford, 35, said. \u201cSo I do think there is a little bit of responsibility in knowing that, for her knowing that questions are going to be asked because they are so public with their relationship.<\/p>\n

\u201cHonesty, I don\u2019t mind, I think it\u2019s fair game both ways. If she doesn\u2019t want to talk about it, then they don\u2019t have to talk about it\u2026 This whole thing is very interesting to me.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just think the whole sports world in general right now is dramatic as hell. And I understand that these guys are not just athletes. We know this. But at the same time, they\u00a0are\u00a0athletes. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhy is everything so damn dramatic?\u201d <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Belichick and Hudson are at the center of a media firestorm after she interrupted his \u201cCBS Sunday Mornings\u201d interview, which aired April 27.<\/p>\n

The former cheerleader at Bridgewater State University stopped Belichick from answering CBS\u2019s Tony Dokoupil\u2019s question about how they met. <\/p>\n

After that moment went viral, multiple reports said Hudson is overly involved in and controlling Belichick\u2019s career \u2014 and acting as his representative at UNC and beyond.<\/p>\n

Belichick, in a joint statement with UNC, said Wednesday<\/a>\u00a0that Hudson wasn\u2019t trying to control his CBS interview but instead \u201cdoing her job,\u201d and they were under the impression the interview topics would focus the interview solely on his new book, \u201cThe Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football,\u201d which releases May 6.<\/p>\n

The former NFL coach, nor UNC have publicly confirmed if Hudson is an employee of the university.<\/p>\n

During her Monday podcast, Kelly went on to discuss the 2025 NFL Draft, which took place last week in Green Bay and centered mostly around Shedeur Sanders, who dropped to the fifth round with the 144th overall pick to the Cleveland Browns. <\/p>\n

\u201cI mean the whole draft was a scene from [the former TV show] \u201890210,\u2019\u201d she said. \u201cIt had nothing to do with the people that were getting drafted it. It had everything to do with all the side stories.\u201d <\/p>\n

Kelly also mentioned the drama surrounding the Eagles\u2019 visit to White House to celebrate their victory over the Chiefs in Super Bowl 2025 \u2014 and how people on social media went after Saquon Barkley for spending time with President Donald Trump, as well as Jalen Hurts for skipping the event.<\/p>\n
