Aaron Rodgers<\/a> is taking on all-comers at the American Century Championship, an annual celebrity golf tournament. After a child spectator was nearly hit by Rodgers\u2019 ball at the event, he let the Steelers\u2019 QB know, shouting, \u201cYou almost hit me, Aaron Rodgers.\u201d Rodgers didn\u2019t hesitate to respond.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlmost doesn\u2019t count.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite nearly hitting a kid in the crowd, Rodgers is holding his own on the golf course. As of this report, he is in the Top 15 at the event, which has 90 competitors \u2014 most of whom are athletes.<\/p>\n

Of course, it shouldn\u2019t be any surprise to see Rodgers finding success on the links. In 2023, Rodgers won the\u00a0AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am. He\u2019s also competed in The Match twice.<\/p>\n

His first appearance in the beloved golf outing was in 2021, when he and Bryson DeChambeau teamed up against Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady. Rodgers and DeChambeau pulled out a narrow victory.<\/p>\n

Rodgers returned to The Match for its sixth edition. In a twist of fate, he teamed up with Tom Brady and squared off against fellow quarterback Josh Allen<\/a> and Patrick Mahomes<\/a>. As usual, Rodgers emerged victorious.<\/p>\n

Now, Rodgers will look to pick up some wins on the gridiron. On June 6, Rodgers agreed to a one-year, $13.65 million\u00a0contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers.<\/p>\n

He spent the previous two seasons with the New York Jets. Rodgers tore his Achilles tendon in his debut appearance with the Jets in 2023. After rehabbing all offseason and returning in 2024, Rodgers threw for 3,897 yards and 28 touchdowns, compared to 11 interceptions.<\/p>\n

Fans should soak in Aaron Rodgers\u2019 time on the field while they still can. During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show in June, Rodgers suggested that the upcoming season will be his last.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, I\u2019m pretty sure this is it,\u201d\u00a0Rodgers said.<\/a>\u00a0\u201cYou know, that\u2019s why we just did a one year deal. The Steelers didn\u2019t need to, you know, put any extra years on that or anything. So, you know, this was really about finishing with a lot of love and fun and peace for the career that I\u2019ve had.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, I played 20 freaking years. It\u2019s been long, a long run, and I\u2019ve enjoyed it.
