The Cowboys<\/a> aren\u2019t the only local football team set to be featured in a Netflix series<\/a> this summer.<\/p>\n

On August 5, Netflix is releasing a new docuseries \u201cSEC Football: Any Given Saturday\u201d that will provide \u201cunprecedented access to the players, coaches, and programs that define the sport\u2019s most dominant league\u201d and \u201cwill spotlight high-stakes games, rivalry week showdowns, and the personal stories that shape each season.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Netflix didn\u2019t specify which teams are in the show, The Athletic has previously reported<\/a> that the show will feature 10 of the 16 schools, with Texas A&M<\/a> being one of the 10 that opted in to the show. It was also reported that the six schools that appeared to opt out of the show were Georgia, Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas<\/a>, Missouri and Ole Miss.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis behind-the-scenes docuseries will bring all the drama and pageantry of Southeastern Conference Football to a worldwide Netflix audience,\u201d SEC commissioner Greg Sankey said in the announcement<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cViewers will ride along on the team buses, sit in on locker-room speeches, drop in on barbershop banter, and witness the grind it takes to be a D1 athlete in the nation\u2019s most competitive football culture,\u201d Netflix said in the statement. \u201cWhether you\u2019re a die-hard fan, a lapsed alum, or just curious what life is really like inside college football\u2019s most elite conference, the series brings unmatched access to the culture, commitment, and chaos of SEC football. It\u2019s as much about the grind and emotion as it is about touchdowns and trophies.<\/p>\n
