Is the upcoming NFL season going to be a lucky one for Travis Kelce? Swifties seem to think so.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, July 13, the Kansas City Chiefs took to Instagram to honor Kelce’s upcoming 13th season in the NFL. They posted a fast-moving slideshow of the tight end throughout his career with the caption “Lucky year 13 coming soon for\u00a0@killatrav<\/a>\u00a0\ud83d\udcaf”<\/p>\n

Fans quickly noticed that the amount of years Kelce has played in the NFL lines up with\u00a0his girlfriend’s lucky number<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“All the Swifties ‘of course it\u2019d be year 13!’ \u2764\ufe0f\ud83d\udc9b” wrote one fan. “NFL Season (Taylor’s Version)” commented another.<\/p>\n

“It only makes sense that they win the SB on his 13th year \u2764\ufe0f” added another user hoping for a Chiefs Super Bowl win.<\/p>\n

13 has long been a lucky charm for the singer, as she was born on December 13, 1989. In the early days of her career, the singer would write the number on her hand before performances.<\/p>\n

Kelce’s 13th season comes on the heels of his lackluster performance last year and a devastating 40-22 Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Though rumors swirled of a possible retirement earlier this year, Kelce confirmed in February that he couldn’t end his NFL career on a “bad note.”<\/a><\/p>\n

In May, Kelce debuted a lean physique at the Amazon MGM Studios Upfront and told reporters he lost 25 lbs. in an offseason effort to get in better shape.<\/p>\n

In a November 2023 interview<\/a>\u00a0with the Wall Street Journal, Kelce revealed that his eventual retirement would come as a result of the injuries he\u2019s received from his time on the field.<\/p>\n

“That’s the only thing I’ve never really been open about,” he said at the time. “The discomfort. The pain. The lingering injuries \u2014 the 10 surgeries I\u2019ve had that I still feel every single surgery to this day.”<\/p>\n

In addition to training for the 2025 season, Kelce has spent the offseason hanging out with Swift, recording the New Heights podcast with his brother,\u00a0Jason Kelce, and\u00a0pursuing an acting career<\/a>.<\/p>\n
