Seattle Seahawks<\/a> rookie quarterback Jalen Milroe<\/a> received his first taste of NFL action at Friday’s rookie minicamp practice session. All eyes were on Milroe<\/a>, the dual-threat QB John Schneider selected at No. 92 overall in the 2025 NFL draft.<\/p>\n

Milroe met with reporters following his debut practice session. One of the most interesting nuggets was revealed when the former Alabama signal caller announced he’d been working with former NFL quarterback Jordan Palmer on mechanics. Palmer is one of the more well-known QB gurus around the league.<\/p>\n

“Everything works from the ground up,” Milroe told reporters about Palmer working on his mechanics. “Understanding lower-half mechanics and how I operate, it’s about understanding how my body functions when throwing the ball. Understanding how to distribute my body when it comes to lower-half mechanics has been a focus for us.”<\/p>\n

“It’s all about being an efficient passer,” Milroe continued. “The more you understand your body, the more efficient [passer] you’ll become. You have to be smart at the quarterback position. You have to emphasize how much you love football.”<\/p>\n

The Seahawks are attempting to mold the athletic Milroe into a more efficient quarterback. The dual-threat signal caller struggled with accuracy and decision making at times at Alabama. Working with Palmer should help Milroe develop into a more efficient passer.<\/p>\n
