The\u00a0Arizona Cardinals<\/a>\u00a0report to training camp on July 22 and begin the process of preparing for the regular season, forming the roster and determining starting jobs and roles on the team.<\/p>\n Leading up to the start of camp, we will take a look at every player on the offseason roster, their background, their contract, their play in 2024, questions they face and their roster outlook.<\/p>\n This focuses on offensive lineman Evan Brown.<\/p>\n Evan Brown background, 2024 season<\/p>\n Brown enters his second season with the Cardinals<\/a> and eight season overall in the NFL. He entered the league in 2018 as a rookie free agent out of SMU with the New York Giants<\/a>. He did not play all season.<\/p>\n From 2019-2020, he spent time with the Giants, Miami Dolphins<\/a>, Cleveland Browns<\/a> and Detroit Lions<\/a>, appearing in 11 games, logging 81 snaps, all as a backup.<\/p>\n He became a starter with the Lions in 2021, starting 12 games at center and then another 12 in 2023 at right guard. In 2023, he signed with the Seattle Seahawks<\/a> and started 16 games at center.<\/p>\n Last year, he signed a one-year deal with the Cardinals and moved to left guard, starting all 17 games and playing 98% of the team’s snaps, logging a total of 1,070.<\/p>\n He was very good and the Cardinals re-signed him this offseason.<\/p>\n Evan Brown 2025 contract details, cap hit<\/p>\n Brown signed a two-year deal to return to the Cardinals worth $11.5 million. He received a $3 million signing bonus and will make nearly $3.2 million in salary in 2025. Of that, $3 million is guaranteed. He received a $50,000 roster bonus and can make up to $255,000 in per-game roster bonuses. He counts $5 million against the cap.<\/p>\n Questions he faces, roster outlook<\/p>\n Brown is a lock to make the roster and is the unquestioned starting left guard. He was a pleasant surprise last season. The question is whether he can repeat that success and build upon it.
