Ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles\u2019 victory in the 2025 Super Bowl, questions began to swirl about a few of the team\u2019s most important veterans. Retirement rumors had picked up steam in the latter part of the season, and one name many circled was right tackle Lane Johnson.<\/p>\n
Fortunately, before Super Bowl LIX even kicked off, Johnson put those rumors to rest by addressing the topic head-on. As NFL.com<\/a> detailed, Johnson stated he was “definitely” not retiring after the Super Bowl, win or lose.<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n “I’m definitely not retiring after this game, win or lose,” Johnson said. “I’m definitely playing next year. That’s really how you take it I guess when you get up in age, is take it one year at a time. But physically, I feel a lot better than I have the past, probably, couple years. I feel really good. For being this late in the year, it’s usually not like that. I’m thankful. We’ve got a good team here to help us with all that.”<\/p>\n Considering his strong statement addressing retirement, it’s not surprising that Johnson is locked in on preparing for the 2025 NFL season, and his latest offseason workout<\/a> proved as much.<\/p>\n While it’s only mid-July, Johnson looks ready to help the Eagles in their pursuit of back-to-back Super Bowls. Not surprisingly, fans loved seeing the two-time First-Team All-Pro putting in the work.<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n “This man can rearrange an entire gym by himself!
