Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears<\/a> have been doing a lot of talking this offseason<\/a> toward the Green Bay Packers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But Packers left tackle Rasheed Walker might have just given them some new bulletin board material with comments he made toward Williams and the Bears.<\/p>\n

Williams, the Bears’ 2024 No. 1 overall pick, is feeling pretty good these days entering his second season under center thanks to his team’s win in the regular-season finale over the Packers six months ago.<\/p>\n

“1-0 at Lambeau,” a confident Williams said at Fanatics Fest in New York City last month<\/a>, referencing his record at his rival’s stadium following the Bears’ Week 18 last-second 24-22 victory over the Packers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Walker, the fourth-year offensive lineman, was asked about Williams making that statement during his appearance on “Good Morning Football” July 15.<\/p>\n

“Man, he got lucky,” Walker said.<\/p>\n

His answer led to a lot of laughs among the entire “GMFB” panel.<\/p>\n

Host Kyle Brandt followed up with Walker to see if he wanted to elaborate.<\/p>\n

“That\u2019s all I got to say,” Walker added. “They got lucky.”<\/p>\n

Walker said even though the Packers lost that game they still went on to the playoffs.<\/p>\n

“We\u2019re going to see them at the end of the year and we\u2019re gonna remember he said that,” Walker added about Williams.<\/p>\n

Williams had also said during his appearance at Fanatics Fest that Packers fans “suck.”<\/p>\n

Packers vs Bears Week 18 game revisited<\/p>\n

The Bears, who had lost 10 straight games before the win, didn’t get lucky in that victory. They played better than the Packers.<\/p>\n

Despite the Packers significantly outgaining the Bears in total yards even without an injured Jordan Love for much of the game, Green Bay was sloppy from the start in a contest that ended up not mattering in the standings<\/a>. The Packers allowed an early punt return for a touchdown, trailed 14-3 after the first quarter, were just 1 for 3 in the red zone and had two turnovers. The Packers still trailed, 21-13, in the fourth quarter before a late touchdown and then finally taking their first lead on a 55-yard field goal by Brandon McManus with under 1 minute left.<\/p>\n

But it was short lived. The Packers defense couldn’t get a stop. Williams got the Bears in field goal range after he converted a 3rd and 11 by finding DJ Moore for 18 yards to get to the Packers’ 33-yard line with 3 seconds left. Carlos Santos came on and drilled his 51-yard field goal for the win. It snapped an 11-game losing streak against the Packers<\/a> and it was the Bears’ first victory at Lambeau Field since the 2015 season.<\/p>\n

Williams finished the game 21 of 29 for 148 yards and one touchdown.<\/p>\n

Packers schedule 2025<\/p>\n

The Packers, who open training camp next week<\/a>, have to wait until late in the season to get their revenge on the Bears and start a new streak. The two teams square off for the first time in Week 14 on Sunday, Dec. 7, at Lambeau Field. They meet again two weeks later on Saturday, Dec. 20, at Soldier Field.<\/p>\n
