Watt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cameron Heyward revealed his plan to keep the Steelers from trading T.J. Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Heyward appeared on Wednesday\u2019s show with WWE wrestler Seth Rollins, who was hosting alongside Chris Brockman.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Steelers\u2019 defensive end broke into laughter when Rollins followed up by asking if Heyward had the power to do that.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo, no, I don\u2019t have that power,\u201d he replied. \u201cI\u2019d be like, guys, we have to have a talk. I don\u2019t know if it\u2019s even going to work, but I\u2019m gonna throw my hat in the ring and say this cannot happen.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Talks have continued to drag on over a contract extension for Watt, though it\u2019s expected he will end up getting a deal that will surpass an annual average value of $40 million.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"36559479\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/1752751514_837_GettyImages-2194150207.jpg\" alt=\"T.J. Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>The Steelers also reportedly did their due diligence in inquiring about Watt\u2019s trade value.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMan, that\u2019s my brother,\u201d Heyward added. \u201cI want [Watt] to get paid what he deserves. That dude is one of the most fierce and best players in our league. And he\u2019s respected throughout the league. I\u2019ve had the best time being able to play with him, and I hope this year is not the last time we play together, because that dude, that\u2019s my running mate, and we create a lot of havoc together. And I just want to see that guy continue to be a Pittsburgh Steeler, and be a one-helmet guy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Steelers are set to kick off training camp on July 24, and the picture should start to become clearer over what will happen with Watt.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Cameron Heyward revealed his plan to keep the Steelers from trading T.J.
