The Detroit Lions<\/a> acted quickly in filling one of the roster openings to start training camp. Per reports, including one from Jordan Schultz<\/a>, the Lions are adding free agent running back Jabari Small to the 90-man roster.<\/p>\n

Small is entering his second NFL season after spending his rookie year with the Tennessee Titans<\/a> on that team’s practice squad. The 5-foot-8, 205-pound Small played collegiately at Tennessee and went undrafted. He was known for his active feet, seamless cuts and ball security during his college career.<\/p>\n

Small effectively replaces Anthony Tyus on the Lions roster. The Lions waived Tyus<\/a>, an undrafted rookie from Ohio, with a non-football illness designation on Thursday.
