Shortly after winning Super Bowl LIX, the Philadelphia Eagles surprisingly unloaded<\/a> starting safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson in a trade with the Houston Texans.<\/p>\n

The always candid CJGJ reacted as you might expect<\/a>, stating this off-season that the Eagles are \u201cscared of a competitor\u201d and would never win another championship without him.<\/p>\n

Gardner-Johnson recently apologized<\/a> to his former teammates for those comments during a sit-down interview with ESPN\u2019s Ryan Clark. The organization was unfazed, as CJGJ was in attendance for the Eagles’ Super Bowl ring ceremony on Friday night.<\/p>\n

CJGJ posted a photo of his ring with a celebratory\u00a0two-word message<\/a> \u2014 \u201cHi haters \ud83d\ude2e\u200d\ud83d\udca8\u201d \u2014 to fans on his social media.<\/p>\n

Some of those antics probably make people forget that Gardner-Johnson piled up six interceptions for the No. 1 ranked Eagles defense in 2024.<\/p>\n

The Eagles were clearly ready to move on after the Super Bowl, moving CJGJ under the guise of \u201csalary cap savings.\u201d Still, it was a good look for everyone to have CJGJ in attendance on Friday night, and no one can take away his 2024 Super Bowl ring.<\/p>\n
