On Saturday, KPRC 2 Houston\u2019s Aaron Wilson <\/a>reported that Houston also reached a deal with offensive tackle Aireontae Ersery \u2014 the No. 48 overall pick out of Minnesota<\/a>.<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n Ersery started multiple seasons<\/a> at left tackle for the Gophers and emerged as a cornerstone on P.J. Fleck\u2019s offensive line. Now, he becomes the latest Big Ten lineman<\/a> to make the leap to the NFL \u2014 and he\u2019ll have a shot to compete for playing time right away.<\/p>\n According to Wilson, Ersery\u2019s rookie deal is worth $9.2 million over four years. The full structure of the contract hasn\u2019t been released yet, but with both of Houston\u2019s second-rounders now under contract, the Texans are in a good spot as training camp approaches.<\/p>\n The timing couldn\u2019t be better. Houston traded Pro Bowl left tackle Laremy Tunsil to the Commanders earlier this offseason, creating a massive void up front. Getting Ersery signed without any contract drama was a top priority for GM Nick Caserio \u2014 and the team made sure to check that box early.<\/p>\n Both rookie signings reinforce the Texans\u2019 commitment to building around young talent. With third-year quarterback C.J.
