WYANDOTTE, OK \u2014 Wyandotte High School was the host site for the third annual Unleash the Beast Football Camp open to first through 12th graders.<\/p>\n
The event was primarily run and facilitated by a group of former NFL players including former Miami Dolphins teammates Roosevelt Collins and Liffort Hobley.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe tell these guys, man, what you do on the football field, it\u2019s the same thing you learn in the classroom,\u201d Collins said. \u201cYou have to listen to the teachers just like you listen to the coaches. You come out here and you follow instructions and you succeed. You\u2019re finishing something that\u2019s more important to us than anything.\u201d<\/p>\n
Learning from the best of the best, camp attendees went through a series of drills and stations focused on learning the fundamentals of the game.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou\u2019re already in classes together,\u201d Hobley said. \u201cWhy not get together and work together in something outside of the classroom? That\u2019s in a different setting. That\u2019s fun. That helps you to continue to stay healthy and enjoy the time you have outside because it is beautiful out here.\u201d<\/p>\n
Though the camp was hosted at Wyandotte High School\u2019s football field, the camp was open to athletes from all across the Four States and beyond.<\/p>\n

The morning session from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. featured first through fifth graders while the afternoon session running from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. featured sixth to 12th graders.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a blessing,\u201d Wyandotte Youth Football President Cole Brecheisen said. \u201cI mean, heck, I just played high school football and I\u2019ve watched these guys on TV my whole life, you know what I mean? So we\u2019re incredibly blessed to be able to have these guys come out here and take the time and just share their wisdom and their passion and their faith with these kids.\u201d<\/p>\n
