Broncos Wire<\/a>‘s 90-man offseason roster<\/a> series continues today with a look at sixth-year offensive lineman Calvin Throckmorton, No. 76.<\/p>\n

Before the Broncos<\/a>: Throckmorton (6-5, 311 pounds) came into the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon, signing with the New Orleans Saints<\/a> prior to the 2020 season. Throckmorton spent his entire rookie season on the practice squad before being elevated to the active roster in 2021. Throckmorton played in 31 games from 2021-2022, starting 20 of them in the Big Easy.<\/p>\n

After the 2022 season, Throckmorton signed with the NFC South rival Carolina Panthers<\/a>, where he played in nine games (seven starts) with Carolina before being waived and claimed by the Tennessee Titans<\/a> midway through the season. He dressed for six games in Tennessee.<\/p>\n

Broncos tenure: Prior to the 2024 season, Throckmorton was an unrestricted free agent before signing a one-year deal<\/a> with the Denver Broncos<\/a>. In his premiere season with Denver, Throckmorton appeared in two games, totaling 15 snaps on offense and special teams (per Pro Football Reference<\/a>). Throckmorton was re-signed by Denver to a futures contract following the 2024 season.<\/p>\n

Chances to make the 53-man roster: On the bubble. Throckmorton did squeak by on the 53-man roster in 2024, but there is a bit more competition this year going into training camp. Throckmorton will have to compete with the likes of Alex Palczewski, Xavier Truss and Clay Webb, among others. Webb and Truss come in as upstarts, trying to unseat Throckmorton on the active roster. Throckmorton will have to fight his way back onto the Broncos roster in 2025.<\/p>\n
