Following the NFL draft, where do the Indianapolis Colts <\/a>now fall in the NFL.com power rankings<\/a>?<\/p>\n The Colts<\/a> entered the draft at No. 23 on Eric Edholm’s list, and after making eight additions, that is where they remain.<\/p>\n Through the draft, the Colts were able to address their biggest positional need by landing do-it-all tight end Tyler Warren<\/a>. Defensive end JT Tuimoloau,<\/a> running back DJ Giddens<\/a>, and defensive tackle Tim Smith<\/a> all have paths to contributing this season as well, and potentially could do so a fair amount.<\/p>\n Also, adding offensive tackle Jalen Travis<\/a> in the fourth round gives the Colts some added flexibility to move Matt Goncalves to right guard.<\/p>\n But even so, as Edholm mentions, while on paper, between the additions made in free agency and the draft, along with hiring Lou Anarumo to lead the defense, the Colts’ roster does look better than it did this time last year, ultimately the quarterback play is going to determine this team’s ceiling. And that remains a big question mark and is going to continue to do so until proven otherwise.<\/p>\n “All that’s left now is to figure out that pesky quarterback situation,” wrote Edholm. “Forgive me if the\u00a0Anthony Richardson<\/a>–Daniel Jones<\/a>\u00a0competition (with a dash of sixth-rounder\u00a0Riley Leonard<\/a>\u00a0thrown in) does not have me all hot and bothered, even if they do have a better environment in which to work now. The AFC South remains a division up for grabs, even with the Texans<\/a> occupying the captain’s chair. I believe Indy is better equipped to make a run at Houston, but until one of the quarterbacks establishes himself as the leader, it’s difficult to see much daylight.”<\/p>\n
